Salut, je suis nouveau racer,

Je m'appelle Iestyn Davies, but i'm afraid that's all the french i know :(
I was guided here by frank verplanken,
he said it was a nice league place to race :)
I would love to join your french league for some clean racing,
I'm sorry to ask that you'll have to explain to me in english what to do and where to go as i do not know much french at the moment but i'm sure that will change gradually over time.

Hello Iestyn ;)

Welcome around here ! OK so our league is part of the French simracing federation FFSCA (http://www.ffsca.org/) which makes it a paying championship. But with half the season done now you will not need to pay for anything :).

Until we one day put english pages online here are a few links to the site's main pages in French :

You can compete in the championship as an independant or in a team. Most of our teams are full atm (including mine sadly) but a team manager might approch you one of these days.

The basic rules for the series are : race in pro mod 50% on friday nights at 9:00pm Paris time. Chassis is free for each race but all drivers of a team must have the same chassis, and you can't use more than twice a chassis in the year.

There will be a few things to do to finalize your registration for the championship, I'll let you know what and will guide you through the process.

PS - ah ouais et aussi : on reproche à la jeunesse d'aujourd'hui son incivilité et son langage "SMS", mais c'est le benjamin de la LFGPL qui vous a donné une leçon de politesse et d'ouverture pour le coup :).

Mais il n'y a également aucun "passage" sur ce sous-forum... je pense qu'il aurait mieux fait de se présenter sur la Pitlane.

bah oui Frank, tu as certainement raison, mais le 15/07 j'étions loin de tout pc. Depuis mon retour, certes depuis 3 jours, je n'avais point vu ce post ...

C'est vrai que c'est les vacances et que peux de monde passe par ce forum, désolé de m'être emporté :).
Eric - aux dernières nouvelles Iestyn était un peu déçu de ne pas avoir eu de réponses mais il est toujours prêt à éventuellement nous rejoindre...

Dis lui de venir se présenter sur la Pit... il verra que tout le monde sera plus réactif ;)
En plus s'il arrive à faire 3 mots en Français... ;)

Ensuite il pourra voir avec tous s'il peut integrer un team ou rester indépendant...
Dommage pour Vaillante car nous avons des bilingues dans notre équipe (toi et antoine notamment), mais ça devrait pouvoir se trouver ailleurs.

Il est certain que si on peut avoir quelques pilotes étrangers, ça pourrait être pas mal, mais cela obligerait aussi à pondre un règlement en Anglais pour faciliter les choses.

En tout cas recontactes le, il est le bienvenue !

pour que je puisse valider ton inscription à la LFGPL tu dois d'abord t'inscrire ici :

il faut surtout bien lire le règlement ainsi que la partie modération ou que quelqu'un t'aide pour cela. Ensuite faire le choix de participer en tant que pilote indépendant ou intégrer une Team.

It will even be a pleasure to see our league become even more international. To be honest the only problem I see, is the fact that you may not understand everything that is said here, but I believe that if it concerns you directly, Frank will help you. (For my part, I don't mind helping either, but I am not very available lately, sorry :( )

We are currently discussing some details related to your enrollment, but that should not stop you from joining all our buddies on the training server. Frank will give you the needed info. At the moment, as I said, if you have questions don't hesitate to bother .... Frank ......and I so we can guide you through the site labyrinth and the championship rules :)
